Iraqi Discovery Amazes the World: Producing Gold from Bacteria

Iraqi researcher Shafaq Tarek and Dr. Ameera Mahmoud Al-Rawi have discovered three types of bacteria capable of producing gold flakes at the University of Mosul in Nineveh Province, northern Iraq. The two Iraqi scientists have received three certificates of invention from the Central Organization for Standardization and Quality Control, and the discovery has been registered in the Gene Bank in America under the abbreviated name (Sham). This discovery can be utilized through soils containing these types of bacteria in various fields, such as medicine, scientific and practical applications, and industry. Ameera Mahmoud Al-Rawi stated that this discovery is the first of its kind globally and allows for the identification of three environments for producing gold metal, according to "Monte Carlo."
