Pornographic Videos Cause a Major Stir in Egypt

The Egyptian Ministry of Interior revealed details regarding the circulation of a sexual video involving a girl, leading to defamation and extortion cases in Dakahlia. The prosecution has taken over the investigation. The ministry stated, "As part of the ministry's efforts to uncover the circumstances surrounding the circulation of a video on a Facebook page featuring a girl filming herself in a manner contrary to public morals," the girl was identified. It turned out she was a student, and upon questioning, she admitted to having a relationship with another student and that she had filmed the video and sent it to him. She accused him and a friend of using the video to extort and defame her.

Furthermore, the ministry added, "After legal procedures were established, the security forces in Dakahlia managed to apprehend the suspects, and upon confrontation, they confessed to their involvement in the incident, and legal actions were taken."

In another case in Qalyubia, security forces arrested a man and his wife who were hosting sexual parties in the governorate and promoting numerous explicit videos with the help of his wife. The main reason behind his activities was his consumption of many pornographic videos and his ability to earn substantial money by filming and distributing them. The suspect stated, "I filmed them and published them online using the Tango app to earn a lot of money." This followed the success of the investigation department in apprehending an unemployed man and his wife in the Al-Jabal Al-Akhdar area in Khanka.

The necessary report for the incident has been filed, and the prosecution is currently investigating, having ordered their detention for four days pending further inquiry, as it is a case that affects the state.
