Annual inflation in the 19 countries of the Eurozone accelerated, according to preliminary estimates, in July 2022 to 8.9% from the 8.6% recorded in June 2022, according to Eurostat data. This result was contrary to analysts' expectations, as analysts in a survey conducted by DailyFX had predicted that the index would remain at the previous month’s level of 8.6%. Thus, the inflation index in the Eurozone has once again recorded historical levels.
