Caring for Your Skin: How to Get Rid of Pigmented Spots

Pigmented spots are one of the most common beauty problems that worry women, as they spoil the appearance of the skin and make it look older than it actually is. The German beauty portal "haut.de" explains that these pigmented spots are often due to excessive sun exposure over many years, such as from intense sunbathing; sunlight causes an increase in the secretion of pigment-producing cells in the skin, known as "melanin."

Unfortunately, this substance is not usually distributed evenly across the skin but rather in clumps, leading to discoloration in the form of spots on areas of the body that are more exposed to the sun, such as the backs of the hands, forearms, and face.

#### Concealing Creams

To treat these spots, women can use skin correction pens and concealing creams, which effectively hide these spots. However, it is advisable to consult a specialized beautician when using these products, as they can help women understand how to mix the appropriate color shades for their skin and demonstrate the ideal application technique for the best results.

For complete removal of these spots, women can turn to a dermatologist, who can treat these spots using a lamp that emits light similar to laser beams or a specific type of laser, such as ruby laser, targeting the spots without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Because this treatment requires complete sun protection, it is essential to follow up with high-SPF sunscreen in the range of 30 to 50 afterward.

To prevent the formation of these pigmented spots in the first place, women should avoid direct sun exposure unless using a high-SPF sunscreen of at least 30. It is also advisable to use whitening creams containing vitamin C, berry extracts, and oleic acid, as these ingredients help reduce melanin secretion in the skin. Additionally, protecting hands when outdoors with creams designated for the prevention of pigmented spots is recommended.
