Armed Family Clash in Tabbaneh - Tripoli Results in Two Deaths and Several Injuries

The following statement was issued by the Army Command - Directorate of Guidance: "On April 4, 2022, following family disputes, a conflict arose between two families in the Tabbaneh area of Tripoli, which escalated into gunfire, resulting in the injury of a child (M.S.) who was transferred to a hospital but soon succumbed to his injuries. Subsequently, a number of youths fired randomly in the area and set fire to a commercial establishment, leading to the injury and eventual death of a citizen (A.Q.A). Additionally, individuals (B.S.), (F.A.), and (A.Q.) were also injured. The army promptly intervened to stabilize the situation and came under heavy gunfire, prompting the troops to respond to the gunfire sources. An operation was carried out by the army to apprehend the shooters, resulting in the detention of a citizen (A.A.), and efforts are ongoing to arrest the remaining individuals involved in the shooting. The situation has been restored to normal, and investigations are underway under the supervision of the relevant judicial authorities."
