Michel Daher, the head of the Parliamentary Committee on Economy, Trade, Industry, and Planning, tweeted: "There is no solution to the electricity problem in Lebanon except through the approval of the Decentralization of Production Law, which I have been advocating for years. This involves establishing a joint-stock company in each district with private sector participation, utilizing fuel, gas, and solar energy instead of diesel. Then, consumers would pay half of their current bill. We’ve had enough of patchwork solutions."
