Death of Former MP Biedoun

Former MP Mohamed Abd al-Hamid Biedoun has passed away after a struggle with illness, according to "Al Jadeed" channel. Biedoun was born on February 5, 1952, and served as a member of the Parliament from 1992 to 2005. He chaired the Amal Movement Council in the South from 1985 to 1991. Additionally, the late MP held the position of Minister of Housing and Cooperatives in the government of the late President Omar Karami from December 24, 1990, to May 10, 1992. Biedoun was also appointed Minister of Water and Electricity Resources in the government of the late President Rashid Karami from May 16, 1992, until October 30, 1992. He served as a minister in President Selim al-Hoss's government from 1998 to 2000, and he was appointed Minister of Electrical and Water Resources in the government of the martyred President Rafik Hariri in October 2000. In 2003, he left the ministry after being expelled from the Amal Movement.
