It was noted that Bale's salary would not exceed $1.6 million annually, a very modest figure compared to the $20.3 million he earned at Real Madrid.
Bale was receiving his lucrative salary when he signed in 2017, at the peak of his performance, but he is now 33 years old, and his level has noticeably declined. The contract signed between Bale and Los Angeles FC is for one year, and it is expected that he will announce his retirement after participating with the Welsh national team in the World Cup later this year.
