New Deputy Donates Salary to the Army

Deputy Ihab Matar participated in a session of the House of Representatives to elect a president, vice president, and members of the bureau. After the session, he confirmed that he "voted for the country," calling for "avoiding political bickering and focusing on the concerns of citizens who are suffering from a severe economic crisis."

He stated, "Based on my convictions and principles that I announced during my election campaign, and in line with my commitment to lend a helping hand and uphold transparency and honesty in everything I do, I announce that I will be donating my salary and allowances in the House of Representatives every six months to a specific entity, starting with the Lebanese Army, hoping that it will help address the gap in light of the difficult economic, financial, and living conditions."
