Envision, a company in the green technology field, has launched Mochi, the world’s first mass-produced mobile smart charging robot that operates entirely on green electricity. Mochi, which autonomously charges electric vehicles, will be commercially available starting in June of this year. Charging stations are often limited for electric vehicle drivers, as previously installed charging points are frequently occupied by other users in public areas.
Mochi can be deployed in various locations and automatically finds and charges electric vehicles, saving time and effort for drivers. With more electric vehicles hitting the roads, Mochi provides a flexible solution to help meet the increasing demand for charging stations. Mochi operates via the company's EnOSTM smart operating system, which connects and manages over 200 gigawatts of renewable energy assets globally. This system allows the device to access 100% green electricity, enabling the electric vehicles charged by Mochi to offer passengers a ride powered by green electricity or electricity generated from renewable sources.
Mochi is compatible with most mainstream electric vehicles on the market and is powered by Envision's AESC batteries with a capacity of 70 kilowatt-hours and an output of 42 kilowatts. The device can charge an electric vehicle in just two hours for a driving range of up to 600 kilometers. It comes in a small, flexible size and is equipped with precise location-sensing technology, allowing it to navigate accurately, stop safely within 0.1 seconds from its full speed of one meter per second when encountering obstacles, ensuring safety.
Electric vehicle drivers can leave their cars and rely on Mochi to automatically charge their vehicles by subscribing to the service through the Mochi app. After receiving instructions, Mochi devises a smart charging plan, identifies the location of the electric vehicle, and begins charging independently. During the charging process, the EnOSTM system conducts real-time monitoring of the electric vehicle's battery along with a comprehensive check to ensure safety.
The CEO of Envision stated that Mochi is a smart charging assistant for electric vehicles and will be a partner for everyone in the future, with plans for the device to start operating in Shanghai this summer.
