General Security: Opening Borders for Two Days for Lebanese Wanting to Return from Syria

The General Directorate of General Security announced in a statement that it will resume receiving and processing citizens' transactions at the Public Relations Department and the General Secretariat, as well as at regional offices and affiliated centers, as usual on a daily basis. This will be done while adhering to necessary preventive measures and maintaining social distancing, and organizing citizens' entry into centers according to these measures, based on a decision by the Prime Minister's Office regarding the update of the strategy to combat the coronavirus and the gradual easing of lockdown restrictions.

The Directorate also emphasized that it will allow the entry of Lebanese citizens and their family members stranded in Syria who wish to return to Lebanon through the Masnaa and Aboudiyeh border crossings starting at 9 AM until 6 PM on the dates of February 10 and February 17, 2021, provided they hold a negative PCR test not exceeding 96 hours from Syria. They will also be required to undergo another PCR test at the border by the Ministry of Public Health teams.
