The Yemeni army announced on Tuesday evening the complete liberation of the Al-Adiya Al-Mazafar area and the Wadi Mamdouh in the Al-Bayda district of the province of the same name, located in central Yemen. The Yemeni army confirmed in a statement that, supported by popular resistance, it had fully liberated the Al-Adiya Al-Mazafar area and the Wadi Mamdouh after successfully liberating the Al-Zahir district.
The army continues to advance towards the provincial capital, amid a mass flight of Iranian-backed Houthi militia elements. The Yemeni army's media center, in a graphic detailing the combat developments in Al-Bayda province on Tuesday, reported the complete liberation and securing of the Al-Zahir district, as well as the full liberation of the Al-Masahr isolation in the Al-Soma'a district, east of the province.
It noted the entry of army and resistance forces into the first positions of the provincial center and the liberation of the Baroum, Al-Dhahki, and Al-Ayouf sites. The media center highlighted that dozens of Houthi militia members had been killed by army and resistance fire, in addition to the destruction of several Houthi combat vehicles by army artillery and resistance forces.
For the fourth consecutive day, the Yemeni army and popular resistance, with the support of the legitimacy support coalition, continue their rapid field advances from several axes to complete the liberation of Al-Bayda province amidst widespread collapses in the ranks of the Houthi militia.
The significance of Al-Bayda province lies in its position at the center of eight provinces: Marib, Shabwa, Abyan, Lahij, Al-Dhali, Ibb, Dhamar, and Sana’a, five of which are "liberated." The current advance in Al-Bayda fronts aims to liberate it and reach directly to Sana’a and Dhamar. The province consists of 19 districts and is located southeast of the capital Sana’a, being one of the provinces that rejects and does not accommodate the Houthi militias, hosting local resistances in several districts that have been battling the Houthis since 2015.
