After the response of Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to her, the most famous blacksmith in Egypt, Boussi Saad, stated that she did not expect her demands to be addressed, expressing great happiness over the resolution of her long-standing issues. Egyptian woman Boussi Saad has worked for 24 years in the "blacksmithing" profession, starting with her father as a child and continuing in her husband’s house after his death to support her family.
President El-Sisi's response came after her plea during a television program, where she asked for intervention to help resolve her crises and her inability to support her family. Boussi told Al-Ittihad that she was overjoyed by President Sisi's direct communication with her and his commitment to fulfilling all her requests, adding, "I was so happy that I cried because I didn’t expect the president to reach out to me personally. I’m very happy; may God protect him."
She explained that President Sisi told her directly, "Boussi, ask and see what your requests are." Boussi works in the blacksmithing market in Mansoura City, Dakahlia Governorate (Northern Egypt), emphasizing that she started this work at the age of 7 and has continued to do so until now.
Boussi is the only one among her 11 sisters who works in "blacksmithing" and has maintained her job even after getting married and having four children. She pointed out that she had been requesting a single room instead of living in a rented house, but President Sisi provided her with a fully-equipped house and blacksmithing workshop, as well as a social pension.
