Nasrallah "Ridicules" Jumblatt's Concerns

Nasrallah

Political sources viewed the statement by Hezbollah Secretary-General Hassan Nasrallah regarding Iran's non-involvement in any escalatory steps by Hezbollah in the maritime border demarcation as an "indirect response" to concerns raised by the head of the Progressive Socialist Party, Walid Jumblatt, during his meeting with a Hezbollah delegation led by Nasrallah's political assistant, Hussein Khaleel, at his residence in Clemenceau. Jumblatt had explicitly asked whether there were any Iranian dimensions or messages related to the escalation by Hezbollah following the deployment of drones to the Karish field. It was evident that Nasrallah deliberately sought to belittle such concerns in his appearance yesterday, stating: "There are people whose minds appear great, but on this point, their minds are very small. If they want to focus on the Vienna agreement, that's fine, but the eyes of the Lebanese should be on Karish, on the borders, and on southern Lebanon and northern occupied territories, as well as on the American mediator who is still wasting time... and his time is running out."
