The artist Ghadir Al-Subaiti published a photo of the artist Mishari Al-Balam on her personal account on social media, specifically in an Instagram story, accompanied by words wishing him recovery.
Ghadir wrote in her comment on the photo expressing her prayers and wishes for Mishari's health, saying: "You are strong and will overcome the illness. May God heal Mishari, my friend and brother, and keep all harm away from him."
Mishari Al-Balam is currently in intensive care, requiring oxygen after contracting the coronavirus. A rumor about his death spread strongly two days ago, prompting several Kuwaiti artists to step forward and deny the rumor, including Hassan Al-Balam, Mishari's relative, who released a video refuting the news. He expressed his discontent with the rampant spread of the rumor on social media, confirming that Mishari is fine and in intensive medical care. He stated that the rumors regarding Mishari's health condition are not true and that Mishari will overcome this crisis in a few days. He strongly urged against spreading such harmful rumors and stressed the importance of verifying news before sharing it, as such information negatively impacts the artist's family and loved ones.
