Verdict for the Murderer of the Mother and Daughters in Ansar... Death Penalty!

The investigating judge, Charbel Abu Samra, in Beirut has issued his indictment in the case of the mass premeditated murder that occurred last March in the southern town of Ansar, which claimed the lives of Basima Abbas and her three daughters, Rima, Tala, and Manal. The accused, Hussein Fayyad (Lebanese) and his partner Hassan Al-Ghanash (Syrian), are facing charges under Article 549 of the Penal Code, with a request for the death penalty against both perpetrators. The first investigating judge in Nabatiyeh, Mohammad Berri, had concluded the preliminary investigation file before referring it to Judge Abu Samra in Beirut for security reasons.
