Title: 10 Billion for Prisoners' Food Security

The Ministry of Finance announced that it has completed the procedures for transferring an amount of ten billion Lebanese pounds from the 2022 budget reserve, according to a decree for the transfer of credits in favor of the Ministry of Interior and Municipalities - General Directorate of Internal Security Forces and Prisons, to secure part of the budget for feeding prisoners with food materials and meals. Last month, the ministry transferred a similar amount from the same decree, which the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces received in cash worth 3 billion, while the remaining 7 billion was transferred through a financial voucher in its favor after the concerned employees in public finance responded by suspending their strike to carry out the necessary procedures for disbursing the mentioned amount.
