A tragic end that seems unimaginable unfolded in Mahalla Qubra in recent days, as the father took on a dark role and decided to end his son’s life with a knife.
The accused confessed to his crime during investigations, stating that he killed his son during a verbal altercation that escalated into a fight, using a kitchen knife, after a dispute regarding the sale of their family home.
The incident began when the Gharbia Security Directorate received a report from a hospital within the jurisdiction about a deceased person, a resident of the area, who had sustained multiple stab wounds to the chest.
Upon investigation, it was revealed that a confrontation occurred between the deceased and his father due to family disagreements over the son’s desire to sell their residence, which the father rejected. This prompted a fight during which the father attacked his son with a kitchen knife, resulting in injuries that led to his death.
Following legal procedures, the father was apprehended, and upon confrontation, he admitted to committing the act due to the same disagreements and previous disputes over the desire to sell the house.
