However, experts state that a particular symptom can alert a person about their potential infection with the virus before a positive test result appears. This symptom is a sore throat, as it is often the first sign felt when infected. Therefore, it is advisable to stay at home in this case and undergo necessary tests.
According to the Chicago Department of Public Health Commissioner, Allison Arwady, a sore throat is the most common symptom predicting a positive "COVID-19" test. This means you should stay at home if you experience this symptom.
