Title: Wael Jassar Apologizes to George Wassouf and Clarifies His Position

Lebanese artist Wael Jassar, during his appearance on the program "Al-Muwajah," stated that he understands well the meaning of poverty, deprivation, and hardship for a living, noting that he grew up in a simple and humble family.

Jassar spoke about the difficult conditions in Lebanon, particularly following the massive explosion at the Port of Beirut, which resulted in numerous victims and significant damage to buildings and homes. He expressed this by saying, "It has been six months since the Beirut Port explosion, and the truth has not been discovered," emphasizing the great fear he felt because his daughter was in the Ashrafieh area at the moment of the explosion.

The Lebanese artist directed a message of apology to artist George Wassouf, indicating that when he suggested Nassouf's retirement, it was a misunderstanding, and his reference was regarding health issues. He stated that Wassouf is a master of his craft and will remain beloved by millions, adding, "I hope his voice continues to resonate to the end of the world. When I mentioned his health situation at the time, I wanted everyone to see him as a strong artist. By the way, I congratulate him on his latest wonderful song." Jassar also expressed support for the retirement of artist Sabah Fakhri.

Regarding his relationship with artist Ahlam, Wael Jassar mentioned that there is no communication between them, and what happened was a misunderstanding. He described her as a star beloved by all and congratulated her on the release of her new album.

In discussing artist Haifa Wehbe, he said, "She possesses intelligence; she knows how to work on herself and present her beautiful image to the audience." He added, "I do not say that art is forbidden; the artistic scene has lost a very great voice, which is that of Fadel Shaker. May God release him and bring him back to his audience who loves him, as he has the feeling, the voice, and the morals, but I do not know what happened to him."

On another note, Wael Jassar considered that the coronavirus is a creation of humans, as there is a theory discussing the creation of a new world and population reduction. He mentioned that he is likely to take the coronavirus vaccine but has not made up his mind yet, as he fears the Middle East might become a testing ground.
