Three Killed in Random Shooting in Detroit, USA

The Detroit Police announced that three people were killed and a fourth was injured by a gunman who randomly shot at passersby over a two-and-a-half-hour period on Sunday morning. The police were searching for a suspect on Sunday afternoon with the assistance of the FBI, the Department of Homeland Security, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives. Detroit Police Chief James White warned residents to exercise caution and contact 911 if they knew the identity or whereabouts of the suspect. White stated, "What we want to do today is take him off the street." He indicated that the police traced all four shootings to one firearm and believe there is one shooter.

According to White, investigators do not think there is any connection between the victims, noting that one person was walking a dog and another was waiting for a bus when they were shot.
