The "4th of August" stadium hosted the match between Moroccan club Wydad Casablanca and South African club Kaizer Chiefs in the second round of the group stage of the African Champions League.
Wydad Casablanca overwhelmingly defeated Kaizer Chiefs with a score of 4-0. Wydad opened the scoring in the 7th minute through Mohamed Ounajem, a Zamalek striker on loan to Wydad, after a well-followed ball inside the penalty area. In the 44th minute, Ounajem assisted the second goal scored by the team's star Ayoub El Kaabi. Simon Msuva scored Wydad's third goal in the 86th minute, after Ounajem was substituted in the 68th minute of the match, while Yahya Jabrane capped off the scoring in the 92nd minute from a penalty kick.
Notably, with this result, Wydad leads Group C of the African Champions League with 6 points from two matches, while Guinea's Horoya Conakry is in second place with 4 points, and Kaizer Chiefs sits third with 1 point.
