The latest issue of the Security Magazine, published by the General Directorate of Internal Security Forces, is titled: Let's Work for a Better Tomorrow.
In this edition's opener, Editor-in-Chief Brigadier General Charbel Fram addresses the theme in his editorial titled: For Stability and Prosperity. He writes:
Stability reflects the end of conflicts and absence of crises. It also embodies citizens' sense of safety, confidence in the future, and belief in the state's capacity to protect their rights and dignity, ensuring a stable life for them and their families.
Nations are not built on chaos, conflicting loyalties, and foreign dependencies. Societies do not thrive amid constant fear and anxiety. Stability requires robust legal institutions, laws applied uniformly, an economy capable of providing decent living opportunities, and a national dialogue that prioritizes common interests over narrow agendas.
In these critical and defining times, maintaining stability is a shared responsibility. The state must manage efficiently and safeguard society, while citizens must respect the law, acknowledge truth, and contribute to building a secure future.
Stability is an ongoing national endeavor, constructed through collective will, protected by awareness, and rooted in justice. Prosperity cannot exist without stability, nor can stability endure without economic growth, social justice, and genuine opportunities for citizens. The relationship between stability and prosperity is interdependent.
Political and security stability provides the necessary environment for institutions to function, investments to grow, the economy to recover, and society to advance. When citizens feel safe and confident in their government and future, they become more productive and engaged in nation-building. Prosperity is built on a strong economy capable of weathering crises, while true prosperity enhances human dignity and offers hope. Stability opens doors to prosperity, and prosperity reinforces stability, creating a nation befitting its future generations.
The time has come for a state of stability and prosperity. It is time to abandon the culture of absurd wars, death, and ignorance. It is time for peace on earth and peace for humanity.
