According to the SPGLBAL website, Russia, which is leading a "special" military campaign in Ukraine, was the top exporter of wheat in the world from 2020 to 2022 with 37.3 million tons. The United States ranked second with 26.1 million tons, followed closely by its northern neighbor Canada in third place. France secured fourth place with 19.8 million tons, while Ukraine ranked fifth with 18.1 million tons. Australia took sixth place with 10.4 million tons, and Argentina followed in seventh with 10.2 million tons. Germany occupied the eighth position in the list of the top wheat exporters with 9.3 million tons, and Kazakhstan ranked ninth with 5.1 million tons. The tenth largest wheat exporter was Poland with 4.6 million tons.
