Egyptian security agencies have revealed details of a horrific crime that took place in Sahel Djawy, within the Benha center in Qalyubia governorate, resulting in the death of a father and his children. Investigations indicated that the father was the perpetrator, having killed his two children before taking his own life, due to experiencing a psychological crisis, escalating conflicts with his wife, and drug use.
The investigations revealed that the father took his children to his family's home and murdered them by strangling them with a plastic strip, then hanged himself, as reported by the Egyptian newspaper "Al-Watan."
The Benha prosecutor's office ordered the release of the children's mother and the father’s wife after investigations confirmed they were not present at the crime scene. In her testimony, the mother stated that the house where the victims were found was not their residence and was located near agricultural land.
She added that she had been in conflict with her husband, the perpetrator, and had left their marital home six months prior due to disagreements, living with her father. The children visited her daily, and she was unaware of the crime, expressing shock that the perpetrator was their father.
On May 26, the Qalyubia security apparatus received notification of finding three bodies, a father and his two children, inside their home in Sahel Djawy. It was revealed that the bodies belonged to an employee named Hazem, and his sons, Hossam (10 years) and Sama (12 years), who were found strangled with a plastic strip around their necks.
