Nadhmi Al-Nasr, the CEO of NEOM, stated that the city is leading the transformation in the field of clean energy in Saudi Arabia since it starts from scratch, noting that this year is the year of turning strategies into reality. He added in an interview with Al Arabiya that NEOM aims to be a leader in clean and renewable energy, with green hydrogen being driven by NEOM in the Kingdom in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and the energy ecosystem. He pointed out that there is a race against time to establish NEOM 2030 in order to achieve the goal. Al-Nasr's remarks came on the sidelines of the Saudi Ministry of Energy signing 8 memorandums of understanding with governmental entities to use hydrogen-powered vehicles yesterday. The Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu reported that the Saudi Minister of Energy and the Chairman of the Royal Commission for Jubail and Yanbu signed a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in implementing experimental projects for hydrogen applications in the transport sector in the cities of the commission, as part of the circular carbon economy initiative.
