Brutal Crime in Egypt: Husband Bludgeoned Wife and Set House on Fire to Conceal His Act

In Giza Governorate, Egypt, a gruesome crime occurred when a worker smashed his wife's head with a hammer and then set their house on fire to hide the evidence. The police station in Qalyubia received reports from locals about a fire in a house in Mansouriya village and the death of a woman.

Initial investigations revealed that neighbors heard the husband of the deceased calling for help and saw smoke rising from the burning house. They also found burn marks on the husband and took him to the hospital. According to the investigations, the husband told the neighbors that a gas cylinder had exploded, leading to his wife's death, as reported by the Egyptian newspaper "Al-Watan."

After a preliminary examination of the wife's body, investigators found no burns but noted a fractured skull. A hammer with traces of blood was also discovered, which had been washed to remove bloodstains.

According to the Egyptian newspaper, the husband has been placed under guard in the hospital where he is being treated. His brother stated that he has been suffering from psychological issues for the past 18 years. The public prosecution has ordered an autopsy on the wife's body and further investigations into the incident.
