Title: No Truth to Reports of Haider Bahjat Suleiman's Abduction

The former Syrian ambassador in Jordan, General Bahjat Suleiman, has denied reports circulating about the abduction of his son, Haider, in Sweida, with his well-known diplomacy.

The Syrian ambassador posted on his personal Facebook page what lawyer Talal Eid wrote, denying the abduction news and reassuring those worried about him, confirming that he has not left Damascus for weeks. Opposition media had published news about Haider Bahjat Suleiman's abduction in Sweida province two days ago, reporting that he had lost contact since yesterday, with no information available about him.

It is noteworthy that Bahjat Suleiman is a diplomat and a former general in the Syrian Arab Army, born in the city of Latakia, a graduate of the Military Academy in Homs with a Bachelor's degree in Military Sciences from the 1968/1970 class. He is a former ambassador of the Syrian Arab Republic to Jordan and has served as the commander of a company, battalion, brigade, and tank division in the combat formations of the Syrian Arab Army.
