Bobby Holland Hanton, Chris Hemsworth's stunt double, has grown tired of eating seven meals a day in an effort to keep up with the actor's increasing physique.
Hanton, who is currently filming "Thor: Love and Thunder" in Australia alongside Chris Hemsworth, admitted that he feels the pressure as the star's size is "growing unnaturally." He shared on the Australian morning radio show "Fitzy & Wippa" that Hemsworth impresses audiences with his physique to achieve the required bulk for his role in the upcoming Marvel film. Hanton confirmed that all the changes the public sees are a result of hard work and continuous training behind the scenes.
Hanton, who first collaborated with Hemsworth in "Thor: The Dark World" in 2013, expressed his dissatisfaction with the constant eating, stating, "Every two hours we eat, it has become a routine, and I'm not enjoying it this way." He added, "He [Hemsworth] is now the biggest Thor he's ever been, so I have to be as big as him, which is a challenge, but I love it; look at him, he's a mountain of a man!"
Hanton also revealed that he had to undergo back surgery after his dual role in Hemsworth's 2020 film "Extraction," which included a 12-minute fight scene. He joked that he "can't get insurance because of his incredibly risky career choice," adding that even when he tries to get it, insurance companies hang up on him every time.
