Saudi Arabia to Launch 30 Localization Decisions for Jobs in 2022

Saudi Minister of Human Resources Ahmed Al-Rajhi stated that the ministry intends to announce 30 new localization decisions this year, based on specific criteria for selecting the localized professions. Al-Rajhi noted that 32 qualitative localization decisions were announced to create 200,000 jobs in 2021, contributing to providing double the expected number of jobs. During the Government Communication Conference, he confirmed that the private sector's compliance with localized professions reached 95%. Regarding the new social security system, he mentioned that the new system allows for combining social security with work if the family's income does not exceed the restriction limit. Al-Rajhi pointed out that the Kingdom aims to advance to the twentieth position in the labor market efficiency index by 2030. He explained that the new strategy targets keeping pace with the large-scale projects launched by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, which will create approximately 1.8 million direct and indirect jobs in the coming years.
