The UAE's Ministry of Health and Prevention reported 1,766 new COVID-19 infections, three related deaths, and 1,728 recoveries. According to the ministry, as part of the plan to expand and increase testing across the country for early detection and isolation of COVID-19 cases and their contacts, 211,462 new tests were conducted in the past 24 hours using advanced medical testing technologies.
The intensified screening and testing measures have contributed to the detection of 1,766 new COVID-19 cases from various nationalities, with all patients in stable condition and receiving the necessary healthcare, bringing the total recorded cases to 532,710.
The ministry announced three deaths due to COVID-19 complications, raising the total fatalities in the country to 1,607. Furthermore, it disclosed that 1,728 individuals have fully recovered from the virus after receiving necessary medical care, making the total number of recoveries 513,068.
Additionally, the ministry reported that 141,283 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total vaccine doses given to 11,048,547. This represents a distribution rate of 111.71 doses per 100 people. This effort aligns with the ministry's plan to provide the COVID-19 vaccine and aims to achieve herd immunity to help reduce case numbers and control the virus.
The ministry urges community members to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to instructions, and maintain social distancing to ensure everyone’s health and safety.
