Title: Son and Wife Torture His Mother to Death; Dubai Police Uncovered the Crime

A son and his wife attempted to mislead justice and evade accountability after they lost all sense of humanity, torturing the husband’s 70-year-old mother for several months. The forensic report from Dubai Police confirmed all their actions despite their attempts to claim the mother died in the hospital due to chronic illnesses and respiratory arrest from organ failure.

Details provided by Major Expert Dr. Rawda Al-Shamsi, head of the forensic examinations department at Dubai Police’s General Department of Forensic Evidence, revealed that the corpse of the elderly woman was received from a hospital in Dubai to issue a death report. Initial information indicated that the elderly woman had been transferred to the hospital days before her death, suffering from unconsciousness and inability to breathe. Doctors attempted to save her by placing her on breathing machines, but she passed away. The son and daughter-in-law claimed she suffered from chronic illnesses due to her age.

Dr. Rawda Al-Shamsi stated that necessary actions were taken to examine the body as per protocol. Signs of burns, torture, and bruises scattered across the body were noted, in addition to organ failure due to starvation or severe malnutrition. The report was forwarded in detail to the General Department of Investigations and Criminal Evidence after it was confirmed that the mother’s death resulted from the torture she endured, which led to body organ failure, revealing the son and his wife’s involvement in the situation.

Dr. Al-Shamsi also pointed out that investigations by the General Department of Investigations and Criminal Evidence uncovered evidence corroborated in the report, where the accused admitted to brutally torturing the mother to eliminate her. She emphasized that all deaths reported to the department are examined regardless of the cause mentioned by relatives, friends, or some hospitals. Many cases initially reported as natural deaths later revealed criminal suspicions. In instances where the cause of death is unclear, a triage committee of forensic doctors is formed to accurately determine the cause, highlighting that this procedure aids in bringing criminals to justice and preventing them from escaping their actions.
