Adam Al-Masry, the son of artist Majed Al-Masry, announced that he has contracted the coronavirus. He shared this information through a story on his personal Instagram page following the test he underwent.
Adam requested those who have been in contact with him to get tested to confirm whether they have been infected and also asked his followers and fans to pray for his recovery. Rania Abu Al-Nasr, Majed Al-Masry's wife and Adam's mother, confirmed that their son is infected with the virus by sending him a message on her personal page, wishing him health and safety and hoping for his swift recovery. She posted a photo of him on her Instagram story, stating: "Get well soon, my dear. May God bring you back to us safely."
Artist Majed Al-Masry shared a picture with his son Adam, commenting, "The little Al-Masry is infected with corona... but you are the man, Adam." Adam responded to his father's post, saying, "Your upbringing, Dad, because you are the true role model."
In another context, Majed Al-Masry had previously announced his recovery with his daughter "Dalida" from the coronavirus after he had announced his infection in the first week of January. He had put himself in home isolation away from his family and wife, only to announce a few days later that his daughter "Dalida" had also contracted the virus.
This situation led the producers of the series "The King," written by Khaled and Sherine Diab, directed by Hussein Al-Munabawi, and produced by "Sinerji," to postpone the filming of scenes featuring Majed Al-Masry, who is one of the stars of the show set to air in the upcoming Ramadan drama season. The series "The King" tells the story of "Ahmose," played by Egyptian artist Amr Youssef, detailing his liberation of southern and northern Egypt and the expulsion of the Hyksos from Thebes. It is considered the first true Pharaoh-themed production for the modern generation and portrays the life of pharaohs realistically.
Majed Al-Masry is also participating in the film "People of the Cave," written by Ayman Bahgat Qamar, directed by Amr Arafa, and produced by Walid Mansour, alongside several other artists including Mahmoud Hamida, Mustafa Fahmy, Mohamed Farag, Amr Abdel Jalil, Ahmed Foad Selim, Reem Mostafa, Sabry Fawaz, Abdel Rahman Abu Zahra, Hagar Ahmed, and others.
It is noteworthy that Majed Al-Masry's latest work was the series "The Other Face," written by Fidaa Al-Shandawili and directed by Samih Al-Naqash, in which he starred alongside several drama stars including Nada Musa, Ahmed Saeed Abdel Ghani, Nasreen Tafesh, Madlin Matar, Mohamed Ali Rizq, and others.
