During the call, there was a reaffirmation of the historical strategic relationship between the Kingdom and the United States, along with the importance of enhancing the partnership between the two countries to serve their interests and achieve security and stability in the region and the world.
King Salman emphasized the necessity of continuing and strengthening joint security cooperation in combating terrorism and its financing, appreciating the President's commitment to supporting the Kingdom in defending its territory and protecting its citizens, as well as the United States' position in standing alongside the Kingdom and securing its defense needs to bolster joint efforts in maintaining its security and the stability of the region. He pointed out the Kingdom's support for the U.S. administration's efforts to prevent Iran from acquiring nuclear weapons and the need for joint action to confront the destructive activities of Iran's proxies in the region, while also reaffirming the Kingdom's commitment to de-escalating tensions and continuing dialogue.
King Salman also expressed the Kingdom's eagerness to reach a comprehensive political solution in Yemen and its efforts to achieve security and prosperity for the Yemeni people, highlighting the Kingdom's ongoing efforts to provide humanitarian aid and to rebuild Yemen.
Regarding energy and oil markets, King Salman stressed the importance of maintaining balance and stability in oil markets, noting the historical role of the OPEC+ agreement in this regard and the importance of preserving it.
