Deryan to MPs: Strengthen Your Unity and Keep Lebanon's Interests in Mind

The Grand Mufti of the Lebanese Republic, Sheikh Abdel Latif Deryan, emphasized during his meetings at the Dar Al-Fatwa with MPs that "the parliamentary consultations at the presidential palace to name a president tasked with forming the government are a trust to choose someone with wisdom, knowledge, and a clear vision to address the difficult situation Lebanon is experiencing." He stressed that the Dar Al-Fatwa is "a safe haven for all Lebanese, without distinction among its people, treating them based on brotherhood, love, respect, guidance, and direction to affirm what it seeks to embrace various talents and distinguished Lebanese capabilities in order to lift Lebanon from its setbacks and crises, which we ask God to make a way out of soon."

Mufti Deryan called on all political factions represented in the Parliament to "unify their ranks and words to facilitate the naming of a president charged with forming a government that will be responsible for pursuing the necessary reforms to pull Lebanon out of its financial, economic, social, and living crises and to reach the election of a new president of the republic." He addressed the MPs, saying: "Strengthen your unity, show solidarity, and prioritize Lebanon's interests above all else."
