Badr Bannon Causes Panic Among Fans.. Al Ahly Inquires

Worrisome news has emerged from the Moroccan national team's camp, as Moroccan sources report that defense star Badr Bannon is suffering from a heart issue. This news has caused panic not only among Moroccan fans but also among fans of Al Ahly SC in Egypt, who rely on Bannon as a key player in their team.

The Moroccan website "Hesport" claimed that Bannon is suffering from a heart injury, which is the reason for his exclusion from the Africa Cup of Nations. The site stated that Badr Bannon would not be able to participate in the Africa Cup of Nations in Cameroon due to complications from a previous COVID-19 infection affecting his heart, which will require him to be absent from the field for a certain period until he fully recovers.

However, the heart injury news that has worried many, including Al Ahly, was completely denied by the Moroccan defender’s agent. According to an Egyptian website, Bannon's agent confirmed that the injury is related to complications from COVID-19 and is not related to the heart.

The Moroccan national team had excluded Badr Bannon from the squad due to the injury and replaced him with Ashraf Bencharki from Zamalek. Badr Bannon’s agent revealed, "The player needs 3 to 4 weeks of rest." He emphasized, "There is no issue with the respiratory system or the heart as reported by some media outlets... Badr Bannon just needs rest."
