Senegalese star Sadio Mané has provoked Egyptians with a video in which he predicts his country's qualification over the "Pharaohs" in the 2022 World Cup qualifiers. The draw has placed Egypt against Senegal in a decisive match for African qualifications, with the winner advancing to the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
The African Football Confederation (CAF) published a video of Mané predicting Egypt's defeat with a score of 0-1. Mané irritated Egyptian fans in the video, especially since he appeared laughing while making his prediction, emphasizing the word "zero" for the Egyptian team.
The CAF account humorously requested predictions from Mané's Liverpool teammate, Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, but he has not responded yet. The final round of the African qualifiers will kick off at the end of next March. The matches in this round will adopt a knockout system over two legs, with the first match played in the stadium of the lower-ranked team and the second in the stadium of the higher-ranked team.
