Syrian actor Firas Ibrahim expressed his opinion on the statements made by his colleague, the Syrian artist Jihad Saad, which sparked significant controversy among the public when he criticized Eastern society.
In his interview with Cham FM on the program "Nabd Al-Asima," hosted by Syrian journalist Attia Awad, Firas Ibrahim stated that Jihad Saad is a very respectable and classy person. He added that he respects Saad's opinion on cohabitation and appreciates his frankness in front of an Eastern society that "does not respect others' opinions," as he described it. He pointed out that Saad chose the wrong context for his honesty, as the people and society will not accept Jihad Saad with this mindset, which led to him facing criticism.
The Syrian artist continued by saying that Jihad Saad's belief in cohabitation is natural for him given that he lives in European countries like France, even though he personally does not agree with this view, emphasizing that he is among those who reject the idea, as society does not accept it.
It is worth mentioning that Syrian artist Jihad Saad caused a stir among the audience after announcing that he had lived in a cohabitation experience for 12 years. He mentioned in the program "Shu Al-Qissa," hosted by Rabea Al-Zayat, that he went through this experience with a well-known actress, though he refused to disclose her name, and he also stated that he wouldn't mind if his daughter chose to live with someone before marriage.
