Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky stated on Wednesday that negotiations with Russia have become more realistic, but will require some time. Earlier, Zelensky's advisor announced that the negotiations with the Russian side, scheduled for Wednesday, would be difficult. The Ukrainian presidential advisor noted that there are fundamental contradictions in the negotiations, but emphasized the possibility of reaching agreements with Russia. Mykhailo Podolyak mentioned that his country's delegation would continue negotiations with the Russian delegation on Wednesday, indicating via his Twitter account that there are "fundamental contradictions" in the negotiations with Russia, but he added, "certainly there is room for understanding." The fourth round of negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv began on Monday via video conferencing. Both sides expressed some optimism in recent days, yet Zelensky's advisor's recent statements reflect the challenges of these negotiations, while the Russian army has intensified its attacks in recent days to seize several major Ukrainian cities. Kyiv is demanding a ceasefire and the withdrawal of Russian troops.
