In the article titled "Iranian Readiness in Northeastern Syria in Anticipation of Airstrike," the Arabic website reported, citing the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, about Iranian readiness in northeastern Syria and the mobilization of the Revolutionary Guard militia, which has moved anti-aircraft systems to the Deir ez-Zor countryside, in anticipation of Israeli or international coalition airstrikes.
The observatory stated that the Revolutionary Guard militia has been mobilized on the outskirts of the city of Mayadeen, east of Deir ez-Zor, coinciding with the transfer of over 20 vehicles loaded with heavy anti-aircraft machine guns to the vicinity of the Ain Ali shrine on the city's outskirts.
It pointed out that the militia recently deployed a mobile air defense system in the agricultural area on the outskirts of Mayadeen, equipped with ground-to-air missiles and heavily camouflaged. This comes after an air detection radar system was established at the beginning of the month in the agricultural area, the largest assembly of Iranians on the outskirts of the city of Mayadeen.
Under the supervision of experts from Tehran, sources from the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported this past Sunday that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard militia had installed an air detection radar system in the agricultural area, which is the largest concentration of Iranians on the outskirts of the city within the eastern sector of Deir ez-Zor countryside.
The mentioned area is considered the largest Iranian enclave or colony within Syrian territory, and the radar installation was overseen by military experts from Iran, who also assembled and operated it in the area.
