Macron: Iran Refuses to Seize the Opportunity

French President Emmanuel Macron pledged to continue efforts to persuade Iran to finalize the proposed understanding to revive the nuclear deal. Macron expressed regret over Tehran's continued "refusal" to agree to the understanding aimed at reinstating the nuclear agreement, committing to making every effort to convince it to act "rationally." During his meeting with new Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid, Macron stated, "Iran is still refusing to seize the opportunity available to reach a good agreement. We will continue to coordinate with our partners to make all necessary efforts to convince Iran to act rationally." He called for additional negotiations to define a framework for Iran's ballistic program and its regional ambitions.
