There is a state of ambiguity surrounding the health condition of Egyptian actress Yasmin Abdel Aziz, who surprised everyone by being admitted to the hospital for a difficult surgery, after which her condition rapidly deteriorated. After failing to reach her husband Ahmed Al-Awadi, "Al-Arabiya.net" contacted Nahla Anbar, the medical file officer at the Actors' Syndicate. Initially, she refused to comment, stating that she did not have permission from the family to disclose any information about Yasmin Abdel Aziz's condition and what she is currently facing. However, she revealed one piece of information only: the actress is not in a coma, as some local media reported.
Furthermore, she confirmed that the family would be issuing a statement in a few hours to discuss Yasmin's condition after it stabilizes, and requested everyone to be understanding of the family's situation, as what happened was very surprising.
The coma rumor was spread by Egyptian artist Tamer Magdy, who stated on his official social media accounts that Yasmin Abdel Aziz was in a complete coma. This statement angered Ahmed Al-Awadi, who confirmed that any updates about his wife's condition would come through him, stressing that he does not allow anyone to speak about her, and urged everyone to pray for her. In turn, Wael, Yasmin Abdel Aziz's brother, clarified that his sister's condition is critical and asked everyone to respect the family's privacy and to pray for Yasmin only. He later revealed that President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi intervened to treat his sister and sent a complete medical team to oversee her health condition.
