El-Sisi: The Lines in Libya Maintained Balance

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, during his meeting with the President of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Assoumi, indicated that the lines he established in Libya aimed to maintain balance and the political course of the Libyan issue.

Presidential spokesman Bassam Zaki stated that President El-Sisi confirms that unified positions would enable Arab countries to set clear lines to protect the determinants of Arab national security regarding all issues. For his part, Adel Al-Assoumi praised El-Sisi's role in safeguarding Arab national security, which has been clearly and strongly manifested over the past years in dealing with various Arab issues. Al-Assoumi also pointed out the declared lines by El-Sisi regarding foreign interventions in Libya, which directly contributed to mitigating risks. Egypt has succeeded so far in calming the situation in Libya by setting limits that warned militias and their supporters against exceeding them. The Egyptian president announced in June of last year that Cairo would not allow crossing the "Sirte-Jufra" line, emphasizing the necessity of keeping Libya free from the control of militias and terrorism. He added that Egypt's primary goal regarding Libya is to activate the free will of the Libyan people for a better future for their country and for the coming generations.
