Ukrainian "Suicide Robot" Reminds of Failed Experiments

Ukrainian

Ukraine has launched a ground-based suicide drone that moves on a low-clearance quad-wheeled platform (the distance between the bottom of the robot and the ground). The robot's payload includes a "TM-62" mine with explosives estimated at 7,200 grams and a magnetic detonator activated by the presence of any metallic object above it. The robot may also carry an anti-personnel guided mine similar to the Claymore mine provided to the Ukrainian army by the Pentagon. According to Ukrainian designers, the robot can be controlled wirelessly from a distance of 3,000 meters.

The magazine pointed out that the invention resembles the German Goliath tracked mine used by the Germans in 1943 during the battles of Kursk and Warsaw, recalling that that experience failed completely. It is worth noting that Ukrainian inventors have previously created what they called "wonder weapons," including the famous "Garbage Tank" (Azovets) and self-exploding mortar "Hammer." Therefore, the emergence of this new self-propelled mine should be assessed as part of information warfare only.
