In a moving and eloquent manner, Syrian actress Sulaf Fawakherji announced her separation from her husband, actor Wael Ramadan, on Tuesday evening. Fawakherji shared a lengthy and emotional post on her Instagram account, describing the state of the separation, saying, "My heart, as they say, is shattered... it is beyond your control and beyond mine, but it is destiny..."
Despite the love, she admitted her feelings for her husband, saying, "I was not worthy of you enough... I swear I tried... and you deserved far more than love... I was just a child crawling before a mountain, no matter how hard I tried."
She also asked for forgiveness from Ramadan for her mistakes and shortcomings, writing, "Forgive me if I have erred or fell short at any time... and I know that your heart is made of love, generosity, and giving."
In her lengthy message, she added, "Wael, my friend... Abu Al-Hamza and Ali... thank you until the Day of Judgment... and I love you for all eternity."
The Syrian actress ended her announcement with the hashtag "separation." It is worth noting that Sulaf and Ramadan have been together for several years and have two children.
