Mystery Phenomenon in Mexico: Hundreds of Birds Fall from the Sky

Recently, a strange and mysterious phenomenon occurred in Mexico, where hundreds of migratory birds fell from the sky. On the morning of February 7, residents in the state of Chihuahua reported finding hundreds of dead birds in the Álvaro Obregón area. Videos shared on social media showed a cloud of starlings suddenly falling to the ground. The incident involved migratory birds from Canada, which travel to Mexico during the winter, according to the British newspaper "Daily Mail." The videos also depicted the collection of lifeless birds that appeared motionless in the streets. The Mexican newspaper "El Heraldo de Chihuahua" noted that a veterinarian attributed the strange phenomenon to the birds inhaling toxic fumes or being electrocuted after resting on power lines in large numbers. British ecologist Richard Broughton suggested that a predatory bird may have attacked the flock, causing a panic among the birds, which subsequently led to their collision with power lines and resulting in death by electrocution. It is noteworthy that Mexican authorities collected samples from the dead birds for autopsy purposes to determine the cause of their deaths.
