British company "Bullitt Group" has launched two new antimicrobial smartphones. The company explained that the CAT S42 H+ and Cat B40 4G smartphones come equipped with silver ions and comply with the ISO 22196 standard. They are designed for comprehensive protection and can withstand harsh environmental conditions and heavy usage.
The "Cat S42 H+" features a 5.5-inch display that allows data input with wet fingers or while wearing gloves. It has 3 GB of RAM and 32 GB of internal storage, expandable via external memory cards. This rugged smartphone supports VoLTE, VoWiFi, Bluetooth 5.0, and NFC technology. It is equipped with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and has protection against dust and water spray, according to IP68 and IP69 standards. Additionally, it can be cleaned with soap, alcohol, and chlorine cleaners, has a waterproof 3.5 mm audio port, and runs on Google Android 10, with an update to version 11 expected in the fall.
The "Cat B40 4G" features a proprietary operating system and Unisoc T117 processor, supporting LTE and VoLTE, with a powerful flashlight rated over 100 lumens. It also supports Bluetooth 5.0 and has a USB-C port, a 2.4-inch screen, a 2-megapixel camera, and weighs only 157 grams.
The company announced that the price of the "Cat S42 H+" smartphone is 279 euros, while the Cat B40 4G model costs around 80 euros. The new smartphones are expected to hit the market starting in May.
