Weekend Weather in Lebanon: Low-Pressure System Recedes

The Meteorological Department at the General Directorate of Civil Aviation predicts that tomorrow the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy with a slight increase in temperatures and local fog in the highlands. The report states the following:

- General situation: The low-pressure system is receding from the eastern Mediterranean basin, but the weather will become unstable starting from Sunday afternoon due to the influence of relatively cool and humid air masses.

(The average usual temperatures on the coast for March range between 13 and 22 degrees Celsius.)

- Expected weather in Lebanon:

**Friday**: Cloudy to partly cloudy with no significant change in temperatures and fog in the highlands. Scattered rain is expected during the morning period, especially in the northern regions, with snow at elevations of 1300 meters and above. Rain will recede starting from noon, and the weather will gradually improve.

**Saturday**: Partly cloudy to cloudy with a slight increase in temperatures and local fog in the highlands.

**Sunday**: Partly to mostly cloudy with medium clouds, with a noticeable rise in temperatures, which will drop quickly starting from early afternoon, accompanied by strong winds reaching nearly 65 km/h. Conditions will be conducive to scattered rain, especially in the inland and northern areas.

**Monday**: Cloudy to partly cloudy with a decrease in temperatures, fog will develop in the highlands, and light local rain is expected in the northern regions in the morning.

- Coastal temperatures: 12 to 19 degrees;

- Mountain temperatures: 5 to 13 degrees;

- Inland temperatures: 6 to 13 degrees.

- Surface winds: Southwestern, with speeds between 10 and 30 km/h.

- Visibility: Generally good, deteriorating in the highlands due to fog.

- Relative humidity on the coast: Between 60 and 75%.

- Sea condition: Choppy, water surface temperature: 18 degrees.

- Atmospheric pressure: 765 mm of mercury.

- Sunrise: 6:04 AM.

- Sunset: 5:36 PM.
