Leicester City occupied third place with 42 points after defeating their host team Fulham 2-0, while Liverpool dropped to fourth place with 40 points after falling to a defeat against their host team Brighton by a single goal. West Ham United solidified their position in fifth place with 38 points after an exciting win over their host team Aston Villa with a score of 3-1. Chelsea came in sixth place with 36 points after a valuable win over their host team Tottenham 1-0, leading on goal difference over Everton who has the same number of points. Arsenal lost to their host team Wolverhampton with a score of 2-1, marking the first loss for the Gunners in the English league during 2021, as their last defeat in the Premier League was against Everton on December 19 of last year with a score of 2-1.
