Today, Wednesday, the coalition aircraft supporting the legitimacy in Yemen destroyed military vehicles belonging to the Houthi militias in the Bayhan front in Shabwa Governorate over the past 24 hours. Field military sources reported, according to Al Arabiya/Al Hadath correspondent, that coalition airstrikes successfully targeted militia vehicles on the Safra front. They added that the destroyed vehicles were carrying heavy weapons along with quantities of ammunition, which were destroyed during the strike.
Regarding the attack on Ataq Airport in Shabwa, the spokesperson for the Giants Brigades accused the Houthis of shelling the airport, confirming that there were no major losses thanks to the precautions taken by the brigades. Meanwhile, the General Authority for Civil Aviation and Meteorology in the legitimate Yemeni government in Aden condemned "the cowardly terrorist attack on Ataq Airport on Tuesday evening," noting that it caused damage to some technical equipment at the airport.
It is noteworthy that two days ago, reinforcements from the joint forces arrived at the fronts in Shabwa to liberate the districts under Houthi control, and fierce battles broke out between the Yemeni army and the militias on the borders of the governorate, resulting in dozens of Houthi fighters being injured. The militias intensified their attacks since last September from Al-Bayda Governorate and managed to take control of the districts of Ain, Bayhan, and Usaylan in Shabwa, which enabled them to open a new front towards Marib from the direction of Harib, reaching the occupation of the districts of Al-Abdiyah, Jabal Murad, and Al-Joubah. However, they faced fierce resistance from the Yemeni army and popular resistance in southern Marib.
